My experience was very disappointing. I went in originally for an oil change and tire rotation. That went just fine. The mechanic reported that my 4 wheel CV Boots were cracked. I requested a quote and then scheduled the service. I went in on the scheduled day of service and found a mostly new crew working the front desk. A gentleman said he needed to enter the service order into the Aero system as the quote I received was done in the San Carlos auto system. He matched the San Carlos Auto pricing. I asked him if the Aero price was about the same as my quote. He said it was close... the biggest difference being the shop rate. I leave. Shortly thereafter I get a call saying that a mechanic called in sick and we would need to reschedule. (inconvenient but no deal breaker) I come back, pick up my vehicle and re-schedule the service. I return on the appointed day and drop my vehicle off. About the time I am expecting the work to be completed I get a phone call from Aero. I am told that I need a 4 wheel alignment. And it will be an extra $91. I ask "Isn't the alignment part of the repair process?" Yes it is I am told. I reply that I am shocked that the cost of alignment isn't included cost of repair. They ask "do you want the alignment or not?" "It's needed to complete the repair?" I ask . They say yes. Do it. When I arrive at Aero a young women Aero employee who I had never met told the problem was the cost difference between the two computer systems and yes the alignment is included in the repair. "so you are making my fork an extra $91 dollars because you have a computer problem?" Yep. I told young women that if she was trying to impress me with how the transition from San Carlos Auto to Aero San Carlos was handled I told her that I was unimpressed. To which she replied, I could have charged you $150 for the alignment. I did not like the way I was treated by the Aero employee. I did not like having my car being held hostage over an Aero computer transition issue. Especially when the 2nd quote was from the Aero system. I would really like my $91 dollars back. Hi Mr. Esten. Thank you again for taking the time to discuss this with me today. I don't like making excuses but the transition was a bit stressful and hectic for the new staff and the existing staff. Thankfully things are running much smoother. I really appreciate your understanding. Sincerely, Jaime Sanders (Managing Partner, Aero Auto Repair)
